Three Ways to Experience Sabah from the Sea
Whether you have a morning, a day, or a night to spare — Cerulith has a voyage designed around it. Each is complete in itself, with all logistics, catering, and equipment handled.
Back to HomeHow We Plan and Run Voyages
Every Cerulith voyage is built around the same principles: appropriate pace, genuine crew knowledge, all-inclusive catering, and respect for the marine environment being visited. Departures are only confirmed when weather and sea conditions are acceptable. Itineraries are adapted where needed — but the core of each voyage remains consistent.
Pre-Voyage Assessment
Sea state, weather, and guest needs reviewed before each departure.
Settled Anchorage Stops
We anchor in calm, sheltered spots — not rush guests through exposed landings.
Ecology Briefings
Context about what you're seeing — reef species, park history, conservation status.
Onboard Catering
Meals prepared fresh during the voyage — not packed lunches from a third-party.
Tunku Abdul Rahman Island Hop
A half-day circuit visiting three of the five islands in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, departing from Kota Kinabalu's Jesselton Point. The yacht offers a stable, comfortable platform from which to observe coral formations through clear waters. Each island stop lasts approximately forty-five minutes, with options to swim, wade, or relax under coastal palms.
Light refreshments and chilled beverages are available throughout. Snorkeling masks and fins are provided in a range of sizes. A marine guide offers context about the park's ecology on request.
What's Included
- Snorkeling equipment (masks & fins, all sizes)
- Light refreshments and chilled beverages
- Marine park entry fees
- Marine guide on request
- Life jackets and safety equipment
Mantanani Reef Expedition
A full-day voyage to the Mantanani Islands, located approximately one hour northwest of Kota Belud. Known for their unspoiled coral gardens and resident sea turtles, these islands provide a genuinely serene setting away from the more frequented parks.
The yacht anchors in a sheltered channel between the main and smaller islands. A full lunch — seafood-focused, prepared onboard — is served midday. The return journey passes through waters frequented by dolphins, with sightings common in the late afternoon.
What's Included
- Full onboard seafood lunch
- Snorkeling equipment
- Refreshments throughout the day
- Marine guide — reef ecology & turtle context
- Dolphin watch on return passage
Borneo Coast Overnight Voyage
A two-day, one-night sailing experience along the northwest coast of Sabah, with an overnight anchorage near Pulau Tiga — the island made known by an international television series. The first day includes open-water sailing, a stop for snorkeling on a pristine reef, and a sunset viewed from the upper deck.
The night is spent at anchor, with a three-course dinner served under string lights. Cabins are compact but well-appointed. The second day includes a visit to Tiga's mud volcano and a morning swim before the return passage.
What's Included
- All meals — breakfast, lunch, three-course dinner
- Well-appointed cabin with fresh bedding
- Snorkeling equipment & reef stop
- Pulau Tiga mud volcano visit
- Full crew services for both days
